Examiner Comments: Poor answers concentrated on very specific factors when determining safety for transfer e.g. normal ECG rather than no features of ongoing toxicity. There was also confusion about assessing risk of toxicity versus medical clearance, e.g. paracetamol levels.

Provide seven (7) factors that distinguish between a delirium and a psychosis. (14 marks)

In differentiating delirium from psychosis poor answers gave multiple specific examples such as “normal temperature” and “normal pulse” rather than normal vital signs.
